Maritime Piracy Analyst

Delex Systems Inc. is currently searching for a Maritime Piracy Analyst. The position is located in Suitland, MD.

Job Description:

1. Using data from multiple intelligence sources, individuals will assess the relevance and significance of ashore maritime piracy networks and afloat operational activity by conducting:

a. Research
b. Collation
c. Review
d. Interpretation
e. Evaluate and integration

2. Develop new maritime piracy and smuggling-related intelligence for dissemination within the intelligence community including:

a. Analytical reports
b. Briefs
c. Database inputs
d. Studies
e. Estimates and evaluations

3. Identify intelligence gaps and develop collection requirements, analytical tools, and methodologies to fill these gaps.

Requirements:

- The candidate must have a current SSBI.

- The candidate will hold a master’s degree and a minimum of six to ten years of related analytical experience within the Intelligence Community, have a good working knowledge of DoD operations and organizations, demonstrated critical thinking skills combined with a knowledge of all-source intelligence analysis.

- The candidate must also have a knowledge and understanding of the intelligence collection process, a demonstrated ability to brief senior personnel on a variety of issues, and the ability to write for comprehension, awareness and impact.

- The candidate must posses a minimum of three years experience using Analyst Notebook, network analysis tools, Intellipedia and related intelligence databases as well as Microsoft PowerPoint and other MS Office software.
